How to reroll and reset your Stand in Bridger: WESTERN. Get a fresh chance at D4C, Gold Experience Requiem, or any other Stand using the Dogbane Herb and Witch method in May 2026.
If you rolled an undesirable Stand—like The Lock or Survivor—you don't have to stick with it. Bridger: WESTERN provides a way to reset your Stand and try again for a better outcome. This guide covers everything you need to know about the stand reset process.
The most straightforward reset method is wiping your entire character. This removes your Stand along with all other progress, giving you a completely fresh start. You then need to obtain a new Stand via Arrow Shard or Corpse Part.
Find a rare Dogbane Herb while fishing, then deliver it to the Witch in the swamp. She can remove your current Stand without wiping your entire character, allowing you to seek a new Corpse Part or Arrow Shard.
While fishing at any dock, there's a small chance you'll reel in a Dogbane Herb instead of a regular fish. This is a rare drop, so patience is key. The Herb appears as a distinct-looking plant item in your inventory.
Make your way to the Witch's Hut located in the dark, cursed swamp region of the map. The journey can be dangerous—consider mounting a horse for faster travel and easier escape from hostile players.
Approach the Witch and give her the Dogbane Herb. She will use its properties to remove your current Stand from your character. You'll be notified when the process completes.
With your old Stand removed, you're now free to seek a new one. Go fishing for an Arrow Shard, or wait for a Corpse Part world spawn. See the Stand Arrow Guide or Corpse Part Guide for details.
| Aspect | Dogbane Herb Method | Character Wipe |
|---|---|---|
| Stand | Removed | Removed |
| Level / XP | Preserved | Reset |
| Moola (Currency) | Preserved | Preserved (partial depending on wipe type) |
| Horse | Preserved | May be reset |
| Cards / Inventory | Preserved | Reset |
| Alignment / Talents | Preserved | Reset |
After resetting, coordinate with a Discord group to use the Flood Method. This maximizes Corpse Part spawn frequency and gives you a better shot at landing a high-tier Stand like D4C.
Before going for a reset, ensure your Tarot Card build is optimized for the Stand you're targeting. See the Stand Passive Guide for optimal card configurations.
Stand resets should be considered carefully. If you have a rare or valuable Stand, it may be worth more in the trading market than the potential value of rerolling. Always check current Stand values before committing to a reset.
